tall posted timber frame with hipped-gable roof. white pine timbers and red oak hips and rafters. dropped tie beam in the middle bent allows for cantilevered floor joists expanding the floor area of the upstairs loft. insulated with dense-packed cellulose blown into 9" wall cavity with 2x3 light framing partially infilling timber frame. knee braces were located so as to disappear into the wall cavity, emphasizing horizontal and vertical lines.
