A stout 14’x14’ hipped roof frame for the oil house at Graves Light Station in Boston Harbor. Built as a windowless, solid granite storage building to service the lighthouse in 1906, the new owner wanted to add a floor with 360° windows and a new roof. The low building is occasionally buried by waves during winter storms. Assembled on a barge and floated 9 miles out to the lighthouse, this was our first raising by heavy-lift helicopter.
